A NOTE FROM OUR CLUB CAPTAIN  

Sydney-born. NYC-trained. Pickle-obsessed.

I’ve always loved sports. I played competitive tennis growing up until it got too serious and killed the vibe. When I think about what I truly loved, it’s really the chats between points, a bit of working out that doesn’t feel like a workout, and the bar hang after. 

Then one day in NYC, while sprinting between work and life and everything in between, I stumbled across a park full of pickleball. There was music. Energy. A vibe you could feel from the sidelines. I jumped straight in. And just like that, I was hooked, line & sinker.

When I moved back to Sydney, paddle in hand and ready to play, there was… not much. Some gear existed, but the vibe was off. That’s when serendipity called. Actually, it was my uncle who’s name is Rob and not serendipity, but you get the point. Rob had the factory and tech hookups. I had the obsession (and creative mates, Andrew and Dave in NYC). Just like that, Afternoon Social Club was born.

So to sum it up, we’re not here to just sell paddles. We’re here to make pickleball feel like your favourite long lunch—stylish, social, and just competitive enough to keep things interesting.

One's your chill afternoon vibe, the other's your agro, sweaty cousin. Pickleball: tennis' laid-back bestie played with solid paddles on a smaller court. Padel: tennis' European obsession played on enclosed courts and an intensity that requires too many espressos. Pickleball with ASC just requires showing up with a paddle, chill vibes and a strategy (or not). Come for the hangs and you’re always guaranteed a W.

Both! ASC apparel is made from premium materials designed for social hangs more than sweaty ones. But for the casual game our apparel looks great, so show it off. If sweating is your thing, more sweat-friendly gear is coming soon! Sign up so you don’t miss out.

Chill doesn't mean cutting corners. ASC paddles are designed and tested by people who play the game at all skill levels, from "just here for the vibes" to "secretly competitive but won't admit it." Premium materials, perfect weight distribution and enough tech to make you feel legit without overwhelming you with jargon.

In China. By real people with ethical standards who continuously bring the best tech and quality to the products. Our equipment is made in the same factory that works with some of Asia's most renowned sporting brands. They're the real pros here—we just bring the vibes.

Australia, NZ & USA for now. We plan to expand to many more countries, but want to make sure we’re properly prepped for casual world domination.

We're card-carrying members of the USAPA and up-to-date with all their rules and regulations. However, we opted not to get that sweet USAPA approved stamp on our paddles, because in all honesty, it’s expensive and we don’t think people in our club are interested in playing in the Australian Open of Pickleball. We’d prefer to invest in your experience with us.

Our company is founded and based in Sydney. However, we got awesomely chill creative friends in New York helping to bring our social club to life. We like to say, born in SYD, designed in NYC.
