We get it โ sometimes things just don't work out. Whether you changed your mind or your paddle met the pavement a little too soon, we'll do what we can to make things right.

Return requests must be made 14 days from the date of delivery.

That's on us. If you receive something damaged, defective, or not what you ordered, email us right away at hello@afternoonsocialclub.com with photos and a short description.
We'll take a look and work to solve the issue โ whether that's a replacement, repair, or refund.ย
Under the Australian Consumer Law, you're entitled to a refund, replacement, or repair if a product you have purchased arrives as faulty, broken or not as described.ย
๐ PADDLES: LET'S SET SOME BOUNDARIES
Our paddles are tough, but not invincible. Here's what doesn't qualify for a return or refund:

Paddles you've customised after buying

Normal wear and tear (chipping, fading, scuffing, etc.)

Bumps and bruises from smashing it into the ground, your mate's paddle, or anything that's not a pickleball
-
Slight rattles that don't affect performance
-
If you weren't the original buyer
-
Anything won in a giveaway or competition prize.
ENHANCED RETURN INSPECTION STANDARDS
What "Passing the Vibe Check" Actually Means
When your return arrives, we check that items are:

Unused and in original condition
-
Original packaging and tags intact
-
No damage, stains, or excessive wear

All accessories and parts included
If Items Don't Meet Standards:

We'll email you with photos explaining why
-
You can request the item be returned to you (at your cost)

Or authorise disposal if return shipping isn't worth it

Partial refunds may apply for items in sellable but not perfect condition
Processing Timeline:

We'll inspect returns within 5 business days of receipt

Email notification of approval/rejection within 2 business days after inspection

Approved refunds processed within 5 business days
RESTOCKING FEES
When Things Come Back Less Than Perfect

Returns in perfect condition: No fee

Minor packaging damage or missing tags: 10% restocking fee

Items showing use but still saleable: 20% restocking fee

Severely damaged returns: May be rejected or disposed of
๐ EXCHANGES
Need a different size or colour? The fastest way is to place a new order and send back the original. That way, you won't miss out if stock is low.
๐ธ REFUNDS
Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll let you know if it's approved. If it is, we'll send the refund back to your original payment method within 10 business days.
Heads-up: banks can be a little slow sometimes. If it's been more than 15 business days since we gave you the green light, hit us up at hello@afternoonsocialclub.com.
๐ INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS (INCLUDING OUR U.S. FRIENDS)
We're stoked to ship worldwide, but at this stage, international customers are responsible for return shipping. Email us for region-specific return instructions.
We do not refund international prepaid duties and taxes paid at the time of checkout for Delivered Duties Paid (DDP) orders or duties and taxes paid at time of customs entry for Delivered Duties Unpaid (DDU) orders.

This policy exists alongside your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If a product is faulty or not what was promised, you're entitled to a refund, replacement, or repair. We play by the rules.
